Who are you?

Monsieur Cailloux is a French contemporary ceramic artist based in Paris, working since 2020. Using mainly earthenware (faïence), he hand-builds unique, numbered sculptures known as the "Cailloux." Through his space explorations, he tells his own journey in the world of ceramics. The story begins with a cosmic quest: aboard his spaceship, Monsieur Cailloux travels the universe in search of new forms of life. After years of wandering through stars and arid systems, he lands on Planet MRCX and discovers a tribe as intelligent as it is endearing: the Cailloux.
Each ceramic piece created by Monsieur Cailloux is unique, entirely handmade, and numbered. These creations bring a touch of poetry and imagination, inviting us to keep dreaming in our daily lives.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including a workshop at the Centre Pompidou (Paris, 2022), One Art Taipei (2025), two solo shows at YTF Gallery (Taipei, 2024 and 2025), Nahcotta (USA), Lille Art Up! and Urban Art Fair (2026). He was featured by Colossal magazine in 2022 and 2024, cited in Le Monde (2023) and Ateliers d'Art magazine, and included in the book Ceramics: How Ideas Are Born (Hoaki, 2024). He is represented by several galleries: Club Sensible (Paris), Kaplan Projects (Mallorca), YTF Gallery (Taipei) and, more recently, Galerie Bessaud (Paris).
